A group of armed robbers reportedly stormed a Gold Buying Company in the Western Region on Monday, making off with gold and cash and seriously wounding an employee.

The heavily armed robbers stormed the Humble Gold Buying Enterprise in Wassa Dompoase in the Amenfi East Municipality of the Western Region.

According to reports, they turned their weapons on the employees demanding keys to their vaults and when one of them said they did not have the keys, they were shot and critically wounded.

Eventually, the armed robbers got the keys from two other employees, opened the safe and made off with cash and gold.

Those two were also left with stab and gunshot wounds but are responding to treatment in hospital.
