NPP Communicator for Tema Central, Richard Anning, has accused President John Mahama of neglecting the proper establishment of the GoldBod, while allegedly focusing more on the trade of galamsey gold.
Speaking on Nkosuo Nsem on Plan B FM, Mr. Anning questioned:
“President Mahama did not take time to establish the GoldBod. He is more concentrated on galamsey and buying gold than anything else. Someone should ask him, who buys the galamsey gold?”
He further criticized politicians for what he described as the reckless allocation of concessions from Accra, which he said is destroying farmlands and properties.
According to him, the selling of cocoa lands for galamsey is evidence of the selfishness and greed that has engulfed the political class, to the detriment of the nation.
