Residents Of Apedwa Cry For Speed Ramps To Halt Accidents

Residents Of Apedwa Cry For Speed Ramps To Halt Accidents
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The residents of Apedwa in the Abuakwa South District of the Eastern Region have appealed to the Ghana Highway Authority (GHA), and minster for Road and highways, Hon Amoako Atta for the urgent construction of speed ramps and pedestrian crossing on that stretch of the Accra- Kumasi- highway.

This according to them is to help address the worrying frequent vehicular accidents where pedestrians especially school children crossing the road are knocked down.

The residents expressed grave concern over resultant fatalities including deaths caused by speeding vehicles plying that portion of the Apedwa highway from Kumasi to Accra.

The add that many lives of school children in  the Apedwa Senior High School  and pedestrians  have been claimed  due to this challenge.
