President John Dramani Mahama has announced further changes to his government, with the reassignments of two ministers and a deputy minister taking immediate effect.
Under the latest changes, Abdul-Rashid Pelpuo has been reassigned from his position as Minister for Labour, Employment and Job Creation to serve as Minister of State for Special Initiatives.
Emmanuel Kwadwo Agyekum, who previously served as Minister of State for Special Initiatives, will replace Pelpuo as Minister for Labour, Employment and Job Creation.
The President has also reassigned Ernest Brogya Genfi, Deputy Minister for Defence, to serve as Presidential Advisor on National Resilience and Emergency Preparedness.
The Presidency Communications Office said the changes take immediate effect.
The latest reshuffle follows other ministerial changes announced by President Mahama as he continues to realign his administration and portfolios.
