Prophet Isaac Ofosuhene Gyimah, Founder of Captain Jesus Prayer House, has praised the government’s decision to allow prophecies to be subjected to investigations, saying the move will promote responsibility and wisdom among prophets.
Speaking on Nkosuo Nsem on Plan B 104.5 FM, Prophet Gyimah emphasized that, according to the Bible, prophecies are directed specifically to those they concern. He added that prophets must understand that in biblical times, they were often restricted from pronouncing doom, especially in ways that caused unnecessary fear and panic.
Citing Nehemiah 6:9-12 and 2 Timothy 2:3-7, he urged fellow prophets to exercise wisdom in delivering divine messages. He also stressed that “there is nothing in the Bible that says if God reveals something, He has already destroyed it,” noting that prophecy should be aimed at edifying and guiding, not causing alarm.
Prophet Gyimah commended the government for taking steps to ensure that prophetic messages, especially those that could cause public distress, are handled with care and accountability.
