The price of sachet water popularly referred to as ‘pure water’ is expected to go up as producers of the product have announced that it will no longer be sold at GH¢2,00 but rather GH¢2.50.

This was made known to the public by the National Association of Sachet and Bottled Water Producers.

Announcing the increment through a press release which is signed by the association’s interim Public Relations Officer, Korsi Asiseh, the release noted “the Sachet Drinking / Mineral Water Producers / Manufacturers wish to inform its cherished customers and the general public, that the minimum price of a bag of sachet water has been increased from GH¢2.00 to GH¢2.50.

It continued that even though some of its members are still selling the product at the old price, it is expected that those producers would from Monday, March 8, 2021 start selling it at the new price of GH¢2.50.

The press statement further pointed out that the reason for the 50 pesewas increment is because of the high cost of raw materials used in packaging purified water.

Concluding, the association urged customers and the general public to cooperate with the new pricing for the smooth running of business.
