A political analyst Mr. Alex Emmanuel Nti has stated that the government must immediately probe the death of 8 persons killed during the 2020 general elections.

Speaking on Plan B FM’s late afternoon show EBAANOSEN hosted by Ohene Kinnah, Mr. Nti expressed that, people may protect themselves when going out to vote in 2024 because there has been no justice for those who have been killed in 2020 signaling that security agencies are not up to the task.

“If those who were killed were security personnel wouldn’t have they (security) investigated and arrested the culprits, I will plead with the Inspector General of Police IGP to do something about the situation to clear that the mindset of being biased when it comes to issues of the ordinary citizens”.

Meanwhile, the attention of the Police has been drawn to a statement allegedly made by one Mr. Mustafa Gbandi on an Accra-based radio station that seeks to incite violence during the 2024 general elections.

The Police said it has commenced investigations into the matter in line with the laws and democratic values of the country.

The Police further noted it will continue to work with other sister security agencies diligently and patriotically to maintain the peace and security in the country which has made Ghana a beacon of hope on the continent and beyond.

The alleged inciteful comment was made on Accra-based Okay FM.

The Police assured the public that under its watch no one will be allowed to undermine the peace, security, law, and order in the country.
