President Akuffo Addo Tours The Central Region

The President of the republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo-Addo has made it publicly known on his social media platforms, his intention to begin a working tour across the 16 regions of the country to inspect existing projects under the 1D1F scheme, cut sods for the commencement of some projects and commission completed projects.

The President indicated that he will begin his tour with a visit to the Central region where he is expected to be on October 18 and 19, 2021. He is expected to pay a courtesy call on the traditional authorities of some communities in the region. While in that region, the President will inspect some engineering laboratories and workshops constructed by the Ministry of Education and the Council for Technical and Vocational Education and Training, situated at the Cape Coast Technical University.

He is expected to visit the people of the Oguaa Traditional Area, the chiefs of Assin North in Assin Breku and Effutuakwa in Assin Fosu where is he will address some durbars. According to the schedule activities as part of his tour, he cut sod for the construction of the Assin Praso – Fosu road project in the Assin Central constituency. He will proceed to cut sod for the construction of the Nyankomasi Ahenkro to Assin Jakai Cocoa road.

Other activities among the President’s tour of the region include a visit to the chiefs of Hemang Lower Denkyira at Assin Jukwa where is he is expected to cut the sod for the construction of the Hemang-Nsutem Cocoa Road.

The commissioning of the Central Oil Mills; a company operating under government’s 1D1F initiative is heavily mentioned as of the scheduled activities the President and his entourage will undertake.

On the activities which are expected draw the curtain on his tour, the President will visit Winneba, in the Effutu constituency where he will commission some completed projects which are waiting to be commissioned. These projects include a health facility, a community center, a library, and a museum of the Effutu history and culture. Just before the President depart from the region, he will commission a lubricant factory at Gomoa Akotsi, Fetteh Junction in the Gomoa East constituency.
