NPP’s Major Problem Is The Lack Of “home sense” – Former Fomena NPP Chairman

Former Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr Kwasi Nti Asamooah, has expressed worry over the lack of what he calls home sense in the NPP.

He says the party prides itself wth intellectuals, but the lack of wisdom is glaring in their utterances and actions taken by the political party.

Kwasi Nti, who has been upset by recent developments in the New Patriotic Party (NPP), says it is about time the party focuses on using common sense in handling its affairs and ends its over-reliance on book knowledge.

He was speaking on Kumasi-based Angel FM when he made this known.

“These two persons are destroying our party, and so we are sending a note of caution to the party that if they do not talk to Wontumi and Abronye, who are destroying our party, they will not come and meet the Ashanti region, which they claim is their stronghold. The party now looks like it has no leader. They have insulted everyone, including the General Secretary of the party,” he said.

“It is about time we learn from the NDC. Asiedu Nketia was a former MP, he became General Secretary, then Chairman. Today, he wants to contest for the presidency. Clearly, it has never been about who speaks English better or is an intellectual, but rather, who has home sense,” he stated.

Mr Kwasi Nti cited the wave in the Ashanti Region led by Dr Frank Amoakohene, who, through diplomacy, is winning young people in the Ashanti Region to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) while the NPP continues to destroy itself just because some persons have decided not to be reasonable.
