Police Impounded Over 100 Motorbikes at Buduburam

Information reaching United Television (UTV) channel this morning indicates that the Central East police command at millennium city, a suburb of Kasoa went to Buduburam and impound over one hundred (100) motorbikes from Okada riders.

According to the United Television (UTV) correspondent for Central Region Seth Mantey, he interviewed the Operations Commander, Chief Theodore Hlormenu to tell Ghanaians the reason for their operation.

According to Chief Superintendent Theodore Hlormenu, he was signaled from Greater Accra Region, all the motorbikes which went missing at Koforidua and other places are being used by riders at Buduburam.

Chief Superintendent Theodore Hlormenu and his team impounded motorbikes from the motor riders and demanded documents that show the motorbike belongs to them.

The police handed over the motorbikes to those who were able to provide the documents and impounded those who denied submitting the documents.

After the operation, the police impounded over one hundred motorbikes.

This operation took place on Tuesday, March 1, 2022.
