Police arrest woman seen in viral assault video; three others still on the run

The Ghana Police Service has confirmed the arrest of a woman captured in a viral video assaulting a man — a case that has generated public outrage in recent days.

In a statement sighted by Plan B 104.5 FM News, police revealed that the suspect, Esther Nana Afia Sarfowaa, was arrested at Subriso in the Ahafo Ano North Constituency of the Ashanti Region.

The statement further noted that a second suspect, Stephen Ofori, was apprehended at Nkawie in the Ashanti Region for his alleged involvement in the disturbing incident. Both suspects are currently in custody, assisting police with ongoing investigations.

According to the police, efforts are underway to arrest three additional individuals believed to have played a role in the assault. The suspects, who are currently on the run, are being actively pursued.
