According to the Police, the affected roads will be closed to vehicular movement, and traffic diversions will be in place to ease congestion. Roads to be closed include the 28th February Road from CEPS Traffic Light Intersection to Castle Road Junction, Osu Cemetery Traffic Light on Lokko Street, Castle Road from AU to Osu Cemetery Traffic Light, and Starlet 91 Road from the Ministries Traffic Light Intersection.

Motorists are advised to follow designated diversions. For example, traffic from La, Labone and Osu on the 28th February Road towards the Central Business District and Ministries will be diverted through Salem Avenue Road to the Castle Traffic Light, linking with Oxford Street. Motorists from the Lokko Street and Osu area heading to Castle Road should use Ajumako Street and Oxford Street, while traffic from John Evans Atta Mills High Street to Black Star Square will be diverted to Liberia Road at the CEPS Intersection.

Approved parking will only be permitted for vehicles with official windscreen stickers, with the VVIP and VIP spaces located within the Black Star Square. Additional parking areas include the State House forecourt, Osu Cemetery car park, Accra Sports Stadium car park, Ministries areas, and several other designated lots.
