Detective Chief Inspector David Oduro Donkor of the Tema Community 2 Police Station has commended the organisers of the Plan B FM Intercommunity Soccer Gala 2025 for providing valuable crowd control training from a security perspective.
Speaking at the closing ceremony held at the Tema Community 2 Mexico AstroTurf, DCI Donkor expressed gratitude for the experience, stating, “When tempers rose high, we were able to calm them down.”
He noted that the event taught him effective crowd management techniques, enabling him to gather crucial intelligence to address community concerns.
The DCI emphasised the importance of community policing, urging citizens to take an active role in maintaining security by reporting incidents promptly.
He highlighted the police’s shift from reactive to proactive measures, assuring the public of swift assistance when needed.
