Plan B FM 104.5 FM has held the maiden edition of Osagyefo Day Out to celebrate the life and legacy of Ghana’s first President, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, on his birthday, Sunday, September 21, 2025.

The event, organized in collaboration with Tema Parents’ Association School, attracted scores of children, parents, and Ghanaians who thronged the school premises to participate in a day of learning, fun, and entertainment.

Activities included a quiz competition on Ghana’s independence, the life and legacy of Dr. Nkrumah, table tennis, video games, bouncy castles for kids, soccer table games, and dance competitions. A documentary on the life of Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah was also screened, alongside a presentation by the Ghana Navy, which was established in 1959 with the support of Dr. Nkrumah.

In the quiz contest, Tema Parents’ School and St. Stephen’s Anglican School emerged as finalists, winning a trip to the Ghana Naval Base.

CEO of Plan B FM, Madam Comfort Aniagyei, explained that the initiative was designed to honour the immense contributions of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah to Ghana’s independence and history. She further noted that Osagyefo Day Out will become an annual event.

The celebration was crowned with a thrilling performance from hiplife artiste Dr. Cryme, who treated the audience to some of his hit songs, including Koko Sakora, Kill Me Shy, Fre Me, and Mene Woa.

The program was proudly sponsored by Indomie, Emco, Adoley Catering Services, and Ghana Made.
