Parliament approves Srem-Sai, Nyarko Ampem, Brogya Genfi, others as Deputy Ministers

Anti-LGBTQ+Bill Public Hearings Suspended

The approved deputy ministerial nominees include Justice Srem-Sai as Deputy Minister for the Ministry of Justice and Attorney General, Ernest Brogya Genfi as Deputy Minister for Defence, and Thomas Nyarko Ampem as Deputy Minister for Finance, among others.

The rest are Alhassan Suhuyini, Deputy Minister for Roads and Highways, John Dumelo, Deputy Minister of Food and Agriculture, Dr Clement Apaak, Deputy Minister, Education, Sampson Ahi- Deputy Minister, Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Ebenezer Okletey Terlabi, Deputy Minister for the Interior, and Richard Gyan-Mensah, Deputy Minister for Energy and Green Transition.

Their approval came after the adoption of the twelfth and thirteenth reports of the Appointments Committee.

The nominees underwent vetting by the Appointments Committee beginning Wednesday, February 26, 2025, and were subsequently recommended for approval by the House.
