Educationist, Mr William Boadi has implored parents to ensure that their children are given a proper and well detailed education on sex and sexual activities.

Speaking to Plan B FM on “Ebaanosen”, Mr William Boadi , an educationist spoke extensively , dwelling on how important it is to give a sex education to young people.

He encouraged parents and guardians not to shy away from the topic or try to placate it but rather hit the nail on the head and if possible even use the local dialect so children can understand properly.

Adding to that, he mentioned that parents and adults in the society must stop dumping the blame on children for not having proper knowledge on sex and pleaded with them to rather take up the mantle to ensure that children are more informed so as to make better choices.

Citing examples, he admonished the educational system and how it does not encompass the right tools to equip children. For example children in basic schools are not even taught in their native dialect which breeds a Barrier to them being able to fully understand and appreciate what is being taught.
