A video of Kwabena Adu-Boahene, a former Director-General of the National Signals Bureau (NSB), preaching at church has resurfaced on the internet amidst controversies surrounding him.

The embattled former NSB boss is captured preaching about success in an Assemblies of God church, advising the congregation to seize opportunities in life.

He is heard admonishing that the difference between successful people and non-successful people is time and opportunity. He emphasized that what he had learned in his early years of life was the importance of grabbing every opportunity that comes one’s way.

“With what I have learned in my young life, I believe that opportunities must be seized. We must always seize opportunities. We are aware that everybody is blessed; it is very true. You are the pastors, and you should know more than me.

“When God created us, he actually blessed us that we should be fruitful, multiply, and take dominion all over the earth, so the blessing is already there. But the difference between successful people and those who are not successful is opportunity and how you are able to seize it to your advantage,” he told the congregation.

Adu-Boahene is currently under investigation regarding the procurement of cyber intelligence equipment by the National Signals Bureau, formerly known as the Bureau of National Communication (BNC), during his tenure.

According to the Attorney General, Kwabena Adu-Boahene allegedly embezzled up to GH¢39 million from the agency in collaboration with his wife.

This occurred after Adu-Boahene, acting as Director of the agency, signed a contract on behalf of the government and the National Security Council with an Israeli company, ISC Holdings Ltd., for the purchase of cyber defense system software at a cost of $7,000,000.
