Two vehicles on Tuesday afternoon crashed into each other  near Kingdom Books and Stationery at Tema Community 4 causing a heavy traffic jam.

The vehicles:  A Trailer Truck and a Van belonging to Baj Freight logistics  were those involved in the accident.

According to eyewitnesses, the driver of the Baj Freight van got stuck in his vehicle for close to an hour after he lost control  and collided with the trailer truck.

He was eventually rescued by the police MTTD  and was sent to the Tema the General Hospital after sustaining minor injuries.

The driver of the the Trailer truck involved in the accident told Plan B news that he noticed that the Baj Freight driver was talking to a colleague in the van and suddenly he lost control.

He further explained that, whiles he was trying to swerve from the impact, he drifted from his lane into where he was coming from  and that resulted in the collision.

The crash caused some damage on both vehicles and resulted in heavy traffic congestion.

Police team from the MTTD were at the scene to investigate the accident, and to help control the traffic.
