One Feared Dead, Driver In Critical Condition In Gomoa Dabenyin Accident

One person is feared dead, and four others are in critical condition following a head-on collision between a Toyota Land Cruiser (registration number GR 2444-25) and a Toyota Sienna (registration number AS 5863-19) at Gomoa Assin on the Winneba-Mankessim highway.

According to Citi News sources, the Toyota Sienna was traveling towards Accra, while the Toyota Land Cruiser was heading to Cape Coast when the accident occurred.

Personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service, who responded to the scene, indicated that the Toyota Sienna driver attempted a wrongful overtaking maneuver, resulting in the crash with the oncoming Toyota Land Cruiser.

The driver of the Toyota Sienna died on the spot, while four occupants of the Toyota Land Cruiser sustained various injuries. They are currently receiving treatment at St. Luke Catholic Hospital in Apam.
