OFFICIAL: Hearts Of Oak Appoint Kosta Papic As New Head Coach

Serbian trainer Kosta Papic has been confirmed as the head Coach of Accra Hearts of Oak bringing an end to speculations in the local media of his return to the Accra based club in the last few days.

The club took to its official twitter handle to announce the 60-year-old tactician who replaces Edward Odoom. Odoom took over the reins in December 2019 after the sacking of Kim Grant.

This will be Papic’s second coming to Hearts of Oak after guiding them to their last Ghana Premier League title in the 2008/09 season. Kosta Papic after leaving Hearts Of Oak in 2009 has gone on to manage Young Africans in Tanzania, Polokwane City of South Africa and Eswatini in Swaziland.

He will be assisted by Asare Bediako, while Edward Odoom is set to take charge of the club’s youth side, Auroras; a position he previously held before joining the senior side.

The Phobians have struggled for form this season, with just one point from their opening two games.

Papic’s first game in charge will be against Karela FC in Accra on Friday.

Coach Kosta Papic returns home.

Welcome!!!
