The New Patriotic Party (NPP) communicator for Tema West, Mr. Tamakloe, has taken a swipe at the Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, for embarking on a health walk while Ghanaians continue to struggle with mounting national problems.
Speaking on Nkosuo Nsem on Plan B 104.5 FM, Tamakloe argued that instead of organizing health walks, Mr. Debrah should be prioritizing the fight against illegal mining (galamsey) and working to ease the financial burden of high utility bills on ordinary citizens.
According to him, Ghanaians are “drowning” under rising electricity and water tariffs, yet key government figures appear more concerned with public relations activities than finding real solutions.
Tamkloe further suggested that the health walk could be part of efforts to project Mr. Debrah into consideration for higher political recognition when President John Dramani Mahama eventually ends his tenure.
“Utility bills are skyrocketing, galamsey is destroying our environment, and yet the Chief of Staff is walking. Ghanaians don’t need symbolism — they need leadership and solutions,” Tamakloe stated.
