The New Jersey (USA) branch of the New Patriotic Party (NNP) represented by its Deputy Youth Organizer, Prince Kamal Gumah, has donated some items to two constituencies ahead of the Monday, December 7, 2020 polls.
The donated items, according to Mr. Gumah are aimed at supporting the party’s polling agents who will be playing key roles as the party goes into the elections with the hope of being retained in power by the Ghanaian electorates.
The donated items were presented to the Adeiso constituency in the Eastern region and the Nin-Prampram in the Greater Accra region.
The Ningo-Prampram constituency was presented with two cows, 20 bags of rice, 10 gallons of cooking oil and 20 crates of soft drinks. Two motorbikes and a cash sum of $4,000 were given to the Adeiso constituency.
Speaking shortly after the handing over-over ceremony in Accra, the Deputy Youth Organizer noted that the decision by the USA based branch to donate to the two constituencies was to support the polling agents of those constituencies so as to carry their duties without any difficulty.
“As part of our support for the party, we decided to adopt these two constituencies thus Adeiso and the Ningo-Prampram. The idea is to make sure we provide what they could use to support themselves during the monitoring of the elections. We believe that our donation will go a long way to support them enough to go through this election process with the energy and motivation required for this kind of exercise”, Mr. Gumah remarked.
He continued, that other members of the New Jersey Chapter including himself have supported the party’s campaign individually in different constituencies and is convinced that Ghanaians will vote to keep the NPP in power. He pointed out that the NPP under the leadership of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has performed well and was quick to mention the Free Senior High School education which has seen an increase in the number of admission in the second cycle school, Planting-For-Food-And-Jobs, NABCO and other policies aimed at improving the living standards of Ghanaians.
He urged them to use the last few days ahead of the election to speak of the good visible work of the Party to gather support and to continue with enriching millions of Ghanaians lives.
Receiving the donated items on behalf of the Ningo-Prampram constituency, Mr Michael Tetteh-Eku, NPP Chairman for the Ningo-Prampram, thanked the Deputy Youth Organizer and the and the entire membership of the New Jersey branch. He pointed that the donated items could not have come at a better time than this.
