In what started as a civil conversation between a financier of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Northern Region Alhaji Joe Kadir and the Chief Executive Officer(CEO) Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC) Hajia Abibata Shani Mahama ended with insults and heated exchanges.
gathered that the member of the Council of Patrons was angered by the refusal of the MASLOC Boss to recommend one Raga for employment.
According to him, all efforts to reach Hajia Abibata while in Accra with the prospective job seeker yielded no results believing it was a sign of disrespect by the appointee.
“I was in Accra with Raga and called you several times but you refused to pick up. Chairman Samba asked me and I told him about it. Even the Vice President said he called you. I am not calling you today because of the position because God gives positions. You described the boy as incompetent in front of the Vice President which hurts me. Your comments are unfair and I will dare you to show if you are better than him in class. Be sure you will never come to any of us for help”, he lamented
Despite her efforts to calm down the agitated Alhaji Joe Kadir who would not listen to her explanation on the real issue involving the said Raga, she kept her composure amidst a litany of accusations
But in reaction, she described as unfortunate allegations levelled against her.
“I have been brought up well to respect elders in society. I would have expected you to call and sit me down for us to discuss this matter and not for you to call me on phone and accuse me of things that are untrue”, she said.
But in the ensuing argument, the NPP elder described her as stupid and a bastard which saw the woman reply in equal measure in defense.
“I am not a bastard because I have a mother and a father. You are not better than my father and you cannot call me a bastard”, she responded.
