The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has announced the constitution of its Standing and Sector Committees as part of efforts to strengthen the party’s internal structures and enhance policy coordination ahead of future political activities.
The decision was taken by the party’s National Executive Committee and National Council at a meeting held on Thursday, May 7, 2026, in accordance with provisions of the party’s constitution.
The newly constituted Standing Committees include Finance, Electoral Affairs, Disciplinary, Policy, Organizational, Research and Communications Committees, with several former ministers, Members of Parliament and party executives appointed to key roles.
Former National Chairman Peter Mac Manu has also been named Chairperson of the Political Strategy Committee.
The party additionally unveiled various Sector Committees covering areas such as Finance and Economy, Education, Health, Energy, Security, Sports, Youth Development, Transport, Agriculture and Communication Technology, among others.
According to the NPP, the committees are expected to provide expert guidance, deepen stakeholder engagement and support the party’s strategic direction toward effective political organization and governance.
In a statement signed by General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong, the party congratulated all appointees and expressed confidence in their ability to serve diligently in the interest of both the party and Ghana.
