The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has called emergency meetings of its National Executive Committee (NEC) and National Council (NC) on Thursday, July 4, 2024.
According to a statement signed by Justin Kodua Frimpong, General Secretary of the party, the NEC meeting will take place at 2:00 p.m. at the Asante Hall, Alisa Hotel, while the National Council meeting will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the same venue.
The meetings have been summoned by the National Chairman, Mr. Stephen Ayesu Ntim, to discuss pressing matters related to the party.
The NPP has urged all NEC and National Council members to attend the meetings, which are expected to shape the party’s strategy and direction ahead of the December 7 presidential and parliamentary elections.
The meetings are expected to be intense, with party insiders hinting at discussions on key issues such as the party’s campaign strategy, running mate candidate selection, and internal conflicts.
The NPP has been gearing up for the elections, with its flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, expected to launch his campaign soon.
The party has been working to resolve its internal conflicts and present a united front ahead of the elections.
