The Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram, Samuel Nartey George, has emphasized the need to hold members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government accountable for any alleged financial misappropriations over the past eight years. He believes that those who have mismanaged or stolen from Ghana’s resources must face justice and that efforts should be made to prevent anyone from evading accountability.
Sam George has called for heightened vigilance at the nation’s airports and border points to ensure that no individual who has looted from the public purse is allowed to flee the country. He insists that every stolen cedi must be recovered if John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), is elected and sworn into office as the next president.
Addressing his supporters and colleagues, Sam George urged them to take a firm stand in ensuring that no one escapes justice. “Let’s position ourselves at airports and land borders to ensure that none of those who have exploited our country’s resources can leave unnoticed. Anyone who has stolen public funds must be held accountable for every pesewa. We need to act decisively to recover all that has been taken. This is for the sake of our children and the future of our nation,” he stated in a post on X, formerly Twitter.
Sam George’s remarks reflect his strong stance on justice and accountability, as he encourages collective action to reclaim misappropriated public funds. His call for “Operation Recover All Loot” is intended to inspire Ghanaians to prioritize the nation’s welfare by ensuring that those responsible for financial mismanagement face the consequences of their actions.
