President-elect John Dramani Mahama has sent a strong message to potential appointees, warning them to only pursue positions in his forthcoming administration if they are genuinely dedicated to serving the public.
During a thanksgiving service at the Assemblies of God Church in Accra, Mahama stressed that the road ahead would not be easy, urging those eyeing public roles to approach them with humility, diligence, and a true commitment to the people of Ghana.
He further reflected on the election results, emphasizing that the outcome was a reminder of the people’s power in electing their leaders. “We must recognize that power is temporary and belongs to the people,” he added, urging new leaders to learn from this humbling lesson.
