Nii Agbeshie Laryea residents live in fear over rampant robberies

Robbers Invade Mission House On New Year’s Eve; Steal GHC13k

Residents of Nii Agbeshie Laryea, a community in Katamanso in the Kpone-Katamanso Municipality of the Greater Accra Region, say they are living in fear due to rampant robbery attacks in the area.

According to Alfred Tsimini, a resident who spoke to Ohene Kinnah on Ebaanosen, a Plan B FM anti-corruption and socio-economic program, the robbers often ambush and attack commuters and market women on a deplorable section of the road.

Community members report that criminals have been terrorizing them and vandalizing their properties, attributing these incidents to the absence of a police post.

The residents are calling for improved police visibility and the erection of a police barrier in the area. They also want the deplorable road rehabilitated to improve security and accessibility.
