The Akuapem North Constituency Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Isaac Batsa, has reportedly been found dead in a hotel room at Amanokrom on May 18, 2026.

According to multiple reports circulating online the incident has thrown the constituency into a state of mourning.

NDC Secretary for Awutu Senya East Constituency reported dead

In a tribute shared by the Member of Parliament for Akuapem North, Sammi Awuku, on May 18, 2026, he expressed shock at the sudden passing of the party executive.

“I am deeply saddened by the passing of Isaac Batsa, the Akuapem North NDC Constituency Secretary today. Though we belonged to different political parties, he rose above party lines and served both his party and the constituency diligently,” he wrote.

Sammi Awuku disclosed that their last interaction took place just a few days earlier on Saturday, May 16, 2026, making the news even more difficult to accept.

“My heartfelt condolences to his family, the constituency executives, regional executives and the entire NDC fraternity,” he added.

Meanwhile, the NDC is yet to officially comment on the circumstances surrounding his death.
