Nana Kwasi Bosomprah, paramount chief of Goaso, reportedly dead

The news was shared by Otumfuo Kyeame Antwi Boasiako during the Asanteman Council meeting on December 16, 2024, as reported by the pro-Manhyia social media outlet, The Asante Nation.

This announcement was confirmed by opemsuo.com, which noted that the chief’s death was disclosed during the council’s session to address various issues, including the Tanoso Stool Affairs, where the Goasomanhene served on the investigative committee.

Nana Kwasi Bosomprah’s passing has created a significant vacancy, highlighting the urgent need for his successor. Reports indicate that he had been unwell for some time.

Known for his candid criticism of the government led by Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Bosomprah often spoke out against state institutions, including the Electoral Commission of Ghana.

He gained attention recently when he publicly expressed his sorrow over the lack of development in his region and criticized chiefs and pastors for not being honest about the country’s challenges.

Nana Kwasi Bosomprah was installed as the paramount chief of Goaso in 2008.
