A New Patriotic Party (NPP), communication team member of Tema West Constituency Kwabena Agyei is alleging that some men believed to be thugs from the former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Member of Parliament for Tema West Constituency, Irene Naa Torshie Addo’s camp is threatening his life because he is rooting for Mr. Kennedy Agyapong to be elected as flagbearer for the New Patriotic Party NPP in their impending presidential primaries slated for 4th November 2024.
Speaking on Plan B FM’s morning show NKOSUONSEM hosted by Nana Yaw Abrompah, Kwabena Agyei stated that some influential members in the party want to do everything to make Vice President Bawumia win the flagbearership slot so anyone who seemed not be supporting Bawumia is being intimidated with threats.
“My life has been threatened by Naa Torshie’s boys, but they have turned around accusing me of threatening them on our WhatsApp platform if they should report me to the police because I have also reported their threat to the police, he added”.
Meanwhile, the NPP Chairman for Tema West Constituency Mr. Kwasi Poku Bosompem has assured all supporters of all the various candidates that there will be a fair playing level for all the candidates in the constituency but if anyone has offended one another in the party, they should know that there’s a way of handling such issues there is no need to attack the person back or go on radio to tell the populace but promised to settle all disputes among the constituents before November 4th presidential primaries.
