A man in his early 30s, identified only as Mawuli, has been discovered dead in a pool of stagnant water in Juaboso, located in Ghana’s Western North Region.

According to local reports, Mawuli had been missing for two days after leaving home under unclear circumstances.

His body was eventually discovered by a group of children who had gone fishing on Tuesday afternoon. They found him lying face down in the water.

Community members revealed that Mawuli, known to be a mason, had suffered a past accident that left one of his arms injured. He was considered an outsider in the area, with no known family connections.

His remains have been taken to the Juaboso Government Hospital mortuary as authorities launch an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.
