Division one side, Home Stars FC eliminated Legon Cities FC from the MTN FA Cup round of 64 at the UG sports stadium on Saturday.

The Ho-based team Home Stars FC gave the Premier League side Legon Cities FC a tough test, holding them to a goalless 90 minutes before stealing the winner in added time.

Coach Christian Chibueze’s approach to the second half involved key substitutions, notably in the attacking area.

This move proved decisive when substitute Joseph Tei scored the match-winning goal in the 92nd minute after pouncing on a counter-attack from the right flanks to slot in a fine finish from the first post.

The impressive Home Stars FC have thus qualified for the Round 32 of the MTN FA Cup.
