Deputy Minority Chief Whip, who doubles as the Member of Parliament for the Banda constituency has spoken on behalf of the minority caucus of Parliament on TV3. He revealed that the minority as a group is shocked and surprised at the same time to hear that the government wants to withdraw the military personnels who are attached to Speaker Bagbin. Ahmed Ibrahim’s reason was that, the Speaker of Parliament is the number three in command so a military attachment of four should not have been a matter. He juxtaposed Bagbin’s four military attachment to Jean Mensa’s ten military attachment.

He stated that this attempt raises a lot of security questions. He blamed and accused President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo for this recent moves. His reason was that President Nana Addo is the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces so it is undebatable when Nana Addo is blamed for that.

Honorable Ahmed Ibrahim stated the next move of the minority caucus in an attempt to address this recent development. He stated that the Minority will meet on Monday.
