Ghana Education News has a question for you. Have you merged your SSNIT with your Ghana Card? 31st Dec is the closing date.
The Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) card merging with the Ghana Card will officially end on 31st December 2021. The merging of the two numbers started in June 2021 as part of efforts to move Ghana towards the use of one national card and building useful quality data on citizens through the Ghana Card. The move by SSNIT to merge the Ghana card its card is expected to provide seamless convenience for members.
SSNIT’s Acting Public Relations Officer, Mr. Charles Akwei Gershong in an interview stated that the move by SSNIT will ensure contributors would not have to carry along several cards since the Ghana card will serve multiple purposes including accessing their SSNIT data.
