A political science lecturer and analyst Mr. Clement Adu Acheampong has expressed his disappointment in the recent appointment made by President Akufo Addo.
Speaking to Ohene Addo on plan B fm morning show NKOSUONSEM on Wednesday 8th February 2023, Mr. Acheampong said the president should have merged some ministries to reduce the size of his government.
” I am highly disappointed by the president for not emerge some ministries, Agric and fishery ministry should have been combined and Transport and the railway ministry should have also be combined to reduce the size of his government but what i don’t understand is appointed Member of Parliament for Akuapem South, Osei Bonsu Amoah as Minister of State at the Local Government and Rural Development Ministry while we a member of Parliament for Okere, Dan Botwe as Local Government Minister, what will be the work of O B Amoah? he asked,
“The president must learn how to sacrifice to reduce the size of government as he wants pensioners to sacrifice their hard-earned monies for the debt exchange program” he fumes.

Member of Parliament (MP) for Adansi Asokwa K.T Hammond has been appointed Minister for Trade and Industry replacing Alan Kyerematen who is seeking to lead the NPP for the 2024 election.
Former minister of state at the Ministry of National Security and Abetifi MP, Bryan Acheampong is heading to the Ministry of Food and Agriculture, replacing Dr Owusu Afriyie Akoto and Former Director-General (DG) of the State Interests and Governance Authority (SIGA) Stephen Asamoah Boateng (Asa B) is heading to Chieftancy and Religious Affairs Ministry.
Stephen Amoah, Nhyiaeso MP is now Deputy Minister-designate for Trade and Industry.
Dr Mohammed Amin Anta is now Minister of State for Finance replacing Charles Adu Boahen and OB Amoah, a deputy Minister of Local Government and Decentralisation being elevated to Minister of State.

3. Member of Parliament for Karaga, Mohammed Amin Adam, who was stationed at the Energy Ministry as deputy Minister has been given a new post.
He has been appointed Minister of State at the Finance Ministry. He is set to replace Charles Adu Boahen.
4. Stephen Asamoah Boateng has been appointed Minister-designate for Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs.
5. Hebert Krapah, who was Deputy Minister at the Trade Ministry has been moved to the Energy Ministry as Deputy Minister-designate. He replaces Mohammed Amin Adam.
6. Meanwhile, Dr Stephen Amoah is now Deputy Minister-designate for Trade and Industry to replace Herbert Krapah.
7. Member of Parliament for Akuapem South, Osei Bonsu Amoah, has been appointed Minister of State at the Local Government and Rural Development Ministry.
