‘Mentor’ judge backlash: “I don’t know underground artist Abiana”- Forqzy Beatz

‘Mentor’ judge backlash: “I don’t know underground artist Abiana”- Forqzy Beatz

Professional sound engineer Forqzy Beatz has added his voice to the recent backlash singer and songwriter, Abiana, received from the public following her comment on a contestant at a music show audition.

Abiana, took over the timelines of social media users after the said incident.

As a judge of the reality show, Abiana is seen in a video asking one of the contestants to leave the room after an ‘abysmal’ performance.

The video captures Abiana and reggae dancehall recording artist Epixode in the judges’ seats.

Reacting to the issue in an interview on Plan B showbiz hosted by Blutut Africa, the professional sound engineer chided Abiana  for her unprofessional behavior towards the contestant and also describe her as incompetent.

“If you’re looking for competent people to be judges, Epixode is perfect, he is okay. He has been in the game for close to twenty-years. I have known him for a very long time and I know what he can do” he told the host Blutut Africa.

The record producer however expressed disappointment in the organizers for not opting for competent people who have knowledge about music but rather chose an ‘underground’ artist like Abiana in the judges’ seats.

“Honestly I don’t know this Abiana lady until now; how can you allow an underground artist to come and judge a fellow underground artist? This is total disrespect to our music industry” he fumed.
