A top member of the New Patriotic Party has slammed people who have said bad things about a video that US rapper Meek Mill shot at the Jubilee House in Accra. The video has angered and upset many people.
Mustapha Hameed, who works for the government, says that Ghanaians should thank Meek Mill for “showing Ghana and the seat of government to the whole world.”
Mr. Hameed criticized the opposition NDC, saying that they didn’t see any value in the Jubilee House and turned it into a warehouse even though they said it would be a chicken farm.
The NPP member said that the fuss over the video is a “storm in a teacup” and that people are making too much of it.
“I’ve seen the video of Meek Mill. It’s really pretty, and I love it. I thank him for letting the whole world know about Ghana and where the government is based. Ghana is now open for business, so more people need to come and invest there. The leader of the NPP wrote.
“I’m also here to tell you that your anger is misplaced and a waste of your feelings. You’re only mad because the people you like are mad, lol. “Teacup storm, mountain out of a molehill.” He added.
“We thank God that Meek Mill saw the value of the Jubilee House, took some pictures and short videos, and put them in his freestyle video so that everyone could see how beautiful the building is. People in this country don’t think that building is worth anything. At one point, they turned it into a warehouse and promised to turn it into a chicken farm. What a bunch of liars! Confused bunch.” He put words on paper.
Meek Mill, an American rapper, put out a music video about his trip to Ghana last night. Part of the video was shot at the seat of government, Jubilee House, in Accra.
Ghanaians expressed their anger on social media about the music video that US rapper Meek Mill shot at Jubilee House, which is where the government is based. This caused the rapper to delete the video.
Meek Mill and his “gang” can be seen shooting a music video in different parts of the Jubilee House in clips that have been shared online.
Meek Mill is first seen rapping while standing in front of the main Jubilee House Building compound. The video moves inside the government building.
In the video, Meek Mill and his crew were still rapping as they walked through the Jubilee House tunnel toward the reception.
It’s not clear yet if the video was made with official permission or if it was just a clip made from an amateur’s phone video.
From the online outrage, it seems that many Ghanaians are not happy about what has happened.
