A young man and his girlfriend have been found dead in their room at Kade in the Kwaebibirim Municipality of the Eastern Region.
The female victim was found lying in the room with visible fatal head injuries, while the male was discovered hanging.
Police officers who arrived at the scene conducted preliminary investigations and took inventories as part of standard crime scene procedures.
Many residents in the vicinity trooped to the scene to catch a glimpse of the shocking incident.
The bodies have since been conveyed to the morgue for preservation and autopsy to aid investigations.
Sources claim disagreement may have ensued between the partners leading to a violent assault.
The Ghana Police Service has however launched a full investigation to establish the circumstances surrounding the deaths and has urged the public to remain calm and avoid speculation as inquiries continue.
