The Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Ebenezer Congregation, Mamprobi led by the District Minister and the Minister in charge of the congregation, Rev. Daniel Edmund Kofi Asante, on Sunday April 19, 2021, donated some items to the Child Health Unit and the Policlinic of the Korle-bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH).
The donated items worth five thousand five hundred Ghana Cedis (GH¢5,500.00) mainly consisted of toiletries, liquid soaps disinfectants, some sachet water and some fruits.
Presenting the items, Rev. Asante stated that the donation is in line with the responsibilities of the Mission and Evangelism and the Department of Development and Social Services which mandate is to provide social services to the public.
Senior Nursing officers Madam Rosemary Asante and Madam Benedicta Dawuda, on behalf of Management and staff of the Hospital expressed their profound gratitude to the church and assured them that the items would be used for the care of the teeming patients.
They asked the Lord to continue to richly bless the Ebenezer Congregation of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Mamprobi for the numerous philanthropic gesture to humanity and to the glory of the Lord. They also appealed to other corporate entities to support the hospital to render good services to its clients who are mostly poor and under privileged.
In attendance was the Ministers of the church, Presbyters, members of the Mission and Evangelism Committee and other Church members.
