The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced Malta Guinness as headline sponsor for the Ghana Women’s Premier League.
The announcement details the newly signed deal runs over a three year period and a total amount of GHC10 million has been committed by Malta Guinness.
The GFA will receive a million Ghana cedis per year in the three year period as part of the deal announced earlier today at the Ghana Football Association’s Headquarters.
Reports indicate the deal gets activated at the start of the 2022-2023 season and ends after the 2024-2025 season of Ghana’s top female club football division.
“Women’s football has in recent years taken its much deserved place as a premium sporting spectacle which attracts thousands of fans and supporters” Estella Muzito, Marketing Director of Guinness Ghana said in the aftermath of the deal’s announcement.
This announcement comes on the back of the GFA signing a three year deal with BetPawa to have the betting firm as the headline sponsor for the Ghana Premier League on Wednesday, August 3.
