Mahama’s Claim Of Errors By The EC Could Determine The Outcome Of The Election Petition – Lawyer Owiredu

Private legal practitioner, Bernard Owiredu Donkor, has stated that Plaintiff and Former President Mahama John Mahama’s claims in the 2020 elections petition that the Electoral Commission made series of errors in the lead up to the declaration of the Election results, is “crucial” and could determine the outcome of the petition.

Speaking on Plan B FM Morning Show dubbed ‘Nkosuo Nsem’, the Legal Practitioner indicated that the controversy surrounding the claim by John Mahama will be huge in the hearing of the case at the Supreme Court.

“The claim of errors is very crucial aside all the issues presented by the petitioner, if you look at it critically, you could see some errors and the Electoral Commission has admitted that there are errors”

“The question we are asking is that, would the errors affect the election results” He quizzed.

“The petitioner is saying out of the 275 constituencies that we have, they have cited five out of it which were marred by errors. The question is that, will this affect the outcome of the results declared by the EC, I think this is very crucial and we need to pay attention to that”, Lawyer Owiredu stressed.
