Founding member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr. Nyaho Nyaho Tamakloe has said President Mahama will not be pardoned by Ghanaians if he fails to prosecute former appointees of erstwhile President Akufo-Addo who are found guilty of stealing state money.

Dr. Tamakloe in an interview on TV3’s Hot Issues, Sunday, May 4 expressed shock over the charges against former Director General of National Signals Bureau, Kwabena Adu-Boahene.

Kwabena Adu-Boahene, his wife, and two others have been formally charged with a total of ten offenses, including stealing, causing financial loss to the state, and money laundering.

Kwabena Adu-Boahene is accused of dishonestly appropriating approximately GH¢49,100,000.00 under the false pretense of procuring a cyber defense system for the Republic of Ghana.

Dr. Nyaho Nyaho Tamakloe believes that all appointees who are found to have stolen state money must not go scot-free.

“But the boys there now, their interest is not the development of this country. Their interest is to come and steal and make money.

“Look at that young Adu-Boahene. Look at the sort of charges that have been brough against him. I can’t believe it. And the crafty way with which they get the money, they thought it would never be traced.

“I have warned President Mahama if he fail to prosecute these people who have stolen money, I’m telling you, he will never be forgiven,” the statesman noted.

Dr. Nyaho Nyaho Tamakloe will launch a new book to mark his birthday on May 7, 2025 at Christ The King near the Jubilee House at 3pm.
