Limit time with friends who constantly derail your progress – Public advised

Limit time with friends who constantly derail your progress – Public advised
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Lady Elizabeth Kesewaa Nortey of the Apostolic Church Ghana, has cautioned the general public to limit time spent with friends who constantly derail their progress and momentum so as to make them reach their goals.

During an interview on Plan B FM’s Nyansapɔ Fie show with Nana Asabea, Lady Kess, as affectionately called, shared her insights on the dynamics of social interactions, noting that as social beings, we naturally crave connection and interaction, however, when we offer help to others in need, they may start to view us as a role model or idol, leading to undue influence.

While it’s natural for people to be drawn to those who have helped them, Lady Kess cautioned that this can sometimes result in negative influences.

She emphasized the importance of being mindful of the impact we have on others and maintaining healthy boundaries in our relationships.

On his part, Rev. Sam Manful, Head Pastor of Global Ark Church, encouraged individuals to be mindful of their influence on others and to maintain healthy boundaries. He also urged his fellow clergymen to cultivate a deeper understanding of their congregation’s needs and tailor their ministry to support them effectively.

Furthermore, ADR Practitioner May Bright Coffie emphasized the importance of surrounding ourselves with positive influences, noting that toxic friendships can sometimes hinder our personal growth and relationships.
