LGBTQI+: Akufo Addo’s refusal to assent to bill gives suspicion that he supports it -Tema West NDC Parliamentary Candidate

The Parliamentary candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) , in the Tema West constituency Lawyer James Enu also known as ‘Homeboy’ has stated that, President Akuffo Addo’s refusal to assent to the LGBTQI+ Bill passed by parliament recently gives a high suspicion that he is in support of LGBTQI+ activities in the country.

Speaking on Plan B FM’s morning show ‘NkosuoNsem’ hosted by Obidehye Kofi Sekyi, he stated that LGBTQI+ activities should not be entertained because Ghanaian culture, traditional norms and customs do not support LGBTQ activities.

“Unfortunately, president Akufo- Addo has refused to assent to the bill to make it a  law, this is very disturbing. With the current situation, I think the president is in support of this abominable act that’s why he’s dragging his feet on it” he stated
