Let’s think about the health implications of LGBTQI+ rather than foreign aid – Anti-gay activist

The NPP Government Have Proven Their Loyalty To LGBTQI+ Community – Isaac Boamah
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

An Anti -Gay activist Mr. Emmanuel Abankwah Kese (Olumanba) has appealed to Ghanaian leaders to focus on the health implications that LGBTQI+ activities would have in country before thinking about aid from foreign donors.

Speaking on Plan B FM’s late afternoon show EBAANOSEN hosted by Ohene Kinnah, Mr. Abankwa Kese explained that the government has failed the country because Ghana has all the natural resources that could have made the country a self-dependent and a better place, but because of  mismanagement and corruption , our leaders are always depending on loans from the western world to develop the very pathetic country.

He said that this is the time President Akuffo Addo should reaffirm the Ghana Beyond Aid agenda and assent to the LGBTQI+ bill into law because he (the president) believes that Ghana can develop without any foreign support with strains attached to it.

He said research and real-life experiences have found that LGBTIQ+ people have an increased risk of depression and anxiety, substance abuse, self-harming and suicidal thoughts. When compared with heterosexual people, same-sex attracted and transgender people have higher psychological distress and significant levels of anxiety than the general population.
