The Kpone Katamanso Municipality joined the national observance of the 41st Farmers’ Day on December 5, 2025, with a vibrant ceremony at Saki Park, underscoring this year’s theme, “Feed Ghana, Eat Ghana, Secure the Future.”

The event featured an agricultural exhibition and an awards ceremony recognising farmers whose dedication continues to sustain food security, supply raw materials for local industries, and generate foreign exchange for the nation.
The celebration drew notable dignitaries, including Nii Tetteh Ogli II, Hon. Samuel Tetteh Morton, the Municipal Chief Executive, the Municipal Director of Agriculture, Madam Ayee, and representatives of the Saki Chief. In their separate remarks, speakers applauded the resilience of farmers and urged the youth to take advantage of the vast opportunities within the agricultural sector.
Thirteen farmers received awards for their outstanding service, with Mr. Ebenezer Nii Mensah Laryea emerging as the municipality’s Overall Best Farmer. In a symbolic gesture, the MCE, Hon. Samuel Tetteh Morton, was also honoured for his leadership and active involvement in local agricultural initiatives.
The ceremony brought together Assembly Members, traditional leaders, farmers, stakeholders, and heads of departments, all united in celebrating the backbone of the municipality’s growth—its farming community.
