Kotoko Will Bounce Back – Ex-President Kufuor

Former President John Agyekum Kufuor has assured supporters of Kumasi Asante Kotoko to remain calm and allow the newly constituted board to work in the interest of the club to bring back glory days.

The Porcupine Warriors have struggled in the local top-flight over the past six seasons after winning the Ghana Premier League in the 2013-14 season and have also failed to make a meaningful impact in Africa’s Inter-Club competition after they last reached the group stage of the CAF Champions League in 2008.

According to the Former President who once served on the board of the porcupine warriors, Asante Kotoko will come good with the appointment of Nana Yaw Amponsah as the new CEO.

“I will urge the supporters to have patience with the new management of the Club, life is ups and downs; I know Kotoko is not in the best of times now but i believe they will bounce back”.

Ex-President J. A. Kufuor

“Kotoko have been champions in Ghana and in Africa, Kotoko is one of the most successful clubs in Africa and I believe again they will get back to where they belong and I hope it would be sooner rather than later”, he added.
