The Porcupine Warriors, Kumasi Asante Kotoko, beat the Miners, Bibiani Gold Stars, to win Ghana’s version of the Super Cup, the ‘Champion of Champions’ trophy.
Asante Kotoko, as winners of the MTN FA Cup, faced Gold Stars, the reigning champions of the Ghana Premier League, in the 2025 Champion of Champions on Sunday, August 31, 2025, at the Duns Park in Bibiani.
The intense clash was decided by a lone goal scored by Kotoko centre-back Musa Hamzata.
The defender scrambled in a dangerous set piece to give Kotoko the lead in the 65th minute.
Winning the 2025 ‘Champion of Champions’ trophy crowns the 90th-anniversary celebration of the Porcupine Warriors.
The club was founded on Saturday, August 31, 1935.
