Former Accra Hearts of Oak target man , Gilbert Fiamenyo has heaped praises on the quality and competitive nature of the Ghana Premier League (GPL) compared to the Kenyan league however, the Former Ebusua Dwarfs forward also insists the Kenyan topflight league is more lucrative than the GPL despite the abundance of talents in the Ghanaian League.

In an interview with Tema based radio Station, Plan B FM on the Weekend Sports Show, the player revealed that, financially Kenyan teams are way better than their Ghanaian counterparts but the quality of players in the Ghanaian league outweighs what he has experienced in the Kenyan league.

“We have very good and technical players in Ghana. I can say the Ghana League is endowed with a lots of talent than the Kenyan League”

“But when it comes to player welfare and the financial capabilities of the teams in the Kenya league, Ghana comes no where near them”, he added

Fiamenyo joined Kenyan outfit AFC Leopards after terminating his contract with Cape Coast Ebusua Dwarfs in 2016.

He is currently unattached after suffering an ankle injury that has sidelined him for two seasons.

Fiamenyo also disclosed that he still eyes a return to the Ghana Premier League and is open to joining any club ahead of the new season.
